Enough.

I have a feeling that you might need to hear this today, I know I often do:

Y O U A R E D O I N G E N O U G H.

(maybe read it again outloud to yourself.)

Also:

You ARE enough.

Also: If You've had enough, it's time to speak your truth. Even if it's just to your own notebook. Or Your God.

There is just SO much pressure to be doing things right, to be productive, to have something of value to show for our time and our own self-worth. And these messages slowly erode our true selves away.

Even in the realm of Self-Care, there is so much that we “should” be doing “right” - especially as women and mothers, but this is true for every human living under patriarchy and capitalism.

So my message to you, and to myself, this weekend. Is to listen to what’s actually true for you. And remember that whatever it is that you have the capacity for these days, or in this moment now, it is enough.

And that you, by just being here on this planet at this very unique point in time, are enough. You deserve love and happiness just because, not because of what you’ve done or how you show up for others - and certainly not because of how much you earn or what accomplishments you’re able to hold up for others. YOU are not actually any of those things. You are light, and you are a channel for love and goodness, you are not the things that you do or that you’re able to give.

And if you’re able to finally recognize that you’ve had enough of something, that the perspective you now hold has shifted things so that you can see what’s going on in a new light and you’re no longer (or never actually were) okay with it: Speak up! I am sending you all the strength to speak your truth so that you no longer have to live in the shadow of past decisions. Every day is a new chance to step into your Highest Self and own your power.

Okay that’s enough soapbox for me for today.

If you haven’t been poking around my little links below, check them out. Especially the typewriter orchestra(!)’s submission to Tiny Desk Concerts. Made my day.

Until next week: Stay well, be kind to someone who needs it, and let yourself be loved.

With love always,

Marit
